BPAC/PAC Celebrates April Parents and Students of the Month
BPAC/PAC celebrated this past Friday, April 30, the last District-Wide Parent and Student of the month for the 2021-2022 School Year. This was a great accomplishment in collaboration with each school building staff. Our students and their families are our priority. We were really happy to have contributed to bringing a smile and a little happiness to our kiddos and their parents for well-deserved recognition.

Lake County Health Department Vaccine Information
You may or may not have heard of the recent Lake County Health Department announcement. The LCHD has announced that starting Saturday, May 1, 2021, the Lake County Fairgrounds (1060 E. Peterson Rd., Grayslake) will offer walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. ​

On March 16, 2021, we sent a survey asking families and staff for their feedback on the importance of coordinating school calendars between Zion Elementary School District 6 and Zion Benton Township High School District 126. Survey results indicated that the majority of the respondents were in agreement to align more closely with the high school calendar.

The Blueprint
As you may know, one of the best ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is through testing. Therefore, we are extremely excited to announce that Zion Elementary School District 6 with the help of the Illinois State Board of Education and the Lake County Health Department, will be implementing rapid testing (BinaxNOW) within our schools starting January 2021. Rapid testing will help facilitate the continuation of in-person learning throughout our entire District. Here you will find, The Blueprint.

Lake County Robotics Competition (LCRC)
Lake County Robotics Competition (LCRC)
The mission of the LCRC is to introduce 6th-12th grade students to engineering, robotics and computer science using an affordable and accessible robotics competition. The LCRC is organized through a joint effort by the College of Lake County Transfer Engineering Department and Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim. We want students to have the opportunity to experience STEM education in a fun, competitive, critical thinking manner.
