Donor's Choose Project

Donor's Choose Project

Students with itemsStudents in today’s classrooms have many distractions and find it difficult to focus. Mrs. Beckman created a Donor's Choose project to help her students focus and meet their full potential by providing simple resources that will help increase student productivity. These sensory tools will help students increase on task behaviors and provide them with the sensory input they need in order to function in a 21st Century classroom. With new tools such as seat cushions and fidgets, Mrs. Beckman's students will be able to choose the tools that work best for them. Mrs. Beckman's classroom was fortunate enough to have the project fully funded by a variety of donors, including Verizon and a former Shiloh Park student. Mrs. Beckman's students received new headphones for working on computers, wobble cushions that provide sensory input when seated, sensory slime to use as a cool down tool or a reward for finished work, and sensory balls, and linking tools that are used as fidgets. We are so grateful for the donations to our class and the students are grateful and enjoy them daily. Thank you!
