6th grade Art


Students will review the seven elements of art: line, shape, color, value, form, texture, and space.
They will apply their understanding of each element in their work

The sixth grade students are studing the elements of line/shape as well as pattern. They will look at artwork from ancient Egypt, identifying the use of lines, shapes, and pattern in the artwork. Students will create a stamp using hieroglyphics, a profile drawing of an Egyptian god, and a patterned frame.

The sixth grade will start their Medieval unit on castles.
They will draw a 1 pt. perspective of a castle and then construct a 3D version from clay.
